            <p><em>Fun Home</em>, set-designed by Bainbridge Island native David Zinn, took home the <a href="http://www.tonyawards.com/index.html?ref=avalancheghost.one">Tony Award</a> for Best Musical Sunday night in New York. As <a href="http://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/theater/tony-awards-2015-a-historic-night/?ref=avalancheghost.one"><em>The Seattle Times</em> reports</a>, Zinn did not win — despite being nominated for his <em>Fun Home</em> set design <em>and</em> his costuming for the play <em>Airline Highway</em>. But <em>Fun Home</em> had a very big night. Based on the Alison Bechdel graphic novel memoir about growing up with a closeted dad, <em>Fun Home</em> also took home Tonys for best book, best lead actor (Michael Cerveris), best direction (Sam Gold) and best score (Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron).</p>
