Founder of the nation's biggest cable provider Ralph Roberts died Thursday night in Philidelphia. Roberts was 95 years old. His son, Brian Roberts, became chairman and CEO of Comcast more than a decade ago.
Ralph Roberts started his company in 1963 through the aquisition of a small cable franchise in Tupelo, Misissippi. Today, Comcast provides one in six American households with TV and Internet services. The company owns NBC Universal, the parent of the NBC broadcast network.
