NASA has recently predicted that humans might be able to reach Mars by around 2030. Grist.com reported on the Humans to Mars Summit which is occurring today through Friday in Washington D.C. Several speakers are attending this event including Charles Bolden, NASA Administrator. He believes that we must understand Mars as there is evidence that it may have once supported life. By understanding what changes occurred in its atmosphere might help us understand what will happen to Earth. Bolden outlined a plan to reach Mars and said at the summit,

“This plan is clear, this plan is affordable and this plan is sustainable […]. I’ve spent my entire life being 20 to 30 years away from going to Mars, and I think we’re incredibly closer today.”
