            <p>Silver Platters is now serving up music in Lynnwood. The independent record store's Northgate location was displaced to make way for construction of the new light rail line, <a href="http://www.theheraldbusinessjournal.com/article/20150720/BIZ/150729989/Independent-record-store-Silver-Platters-brings-the-music-north-?ref=avalancheghost.one">reports the Everett Herald</a>. Silver Platters is home to thousands of vinyl records, CDs and Blu-ray movies, as well as rock ‘n roll memorabilia. The company needed a location with at least 8,000 square feet of space – the new store, next to the Lynnwood Convention Center, offers 10,500. Silver Platters holds small concerts and brings in artists to meet fans from time to time in its Sodo and Bellevue locations. Although Lynnwood is a bit of a trek from musician-preferred downtown Seattle, owner Mike Batt hopes to bring this tradition to the new store.</p>
