            <p>Greece’s financial problems have been so consistently bad for so long that it has become almost easy to ignore them. But with a <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/29/upshot/the-next-few-days-will-transform-greece-and-europe.html?hp=&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&module=first-column-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&abt=0002&abg=1&ref=avalancheghost.one">nationwide referendum coming next week</a>, says <em>New York Times</em> “Upshot” commentator Neil Irwin, “These next few days are shaping up to become a transformational moment in the 60-year project of building a unified Europe. We just don’t yet know what sort of transformation it will be.” At stake is Greece’s inclusion in the European Union and a continuation of efforts to rescue the economy.
