            <p>There's a new otter in town at the Oregon Zoo in Portland. Last month, the pup had been spotted wandering alongside a highway hungry, dehydrated and incapable of surviving without his mother, <a href="http://www.komonews.com/news/local/Orphan-river-otter-pup-finds-home-at-Oregon-Zoo-314364641.html?ref=avalancheghost.one">according to a report posted on KOMO</a>.  The Chintimini Wildlife Center in Corvallis nursed the young river otter back to health, and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife then contacted the Oregon Zoo to see if it had space available. The Oregon Zoo has experience with orphaned animals, as its adult otters, Tilly and B.C., were also rescued. Senior keeper Julie Christie describes the new otter as "spunky," and says he can be found playing in his pool, eating voraciously and grooming himself.</p>
