            <p>Party down at Nectar Lounge with the mayor, and watch city council members get into serious Jeopardy.</p><p>Night spots in Belltown may be making headlines lately, but it's hardly the only nightlife in town. Fremont, the Center of the Universe, has singers and bands rocking out seven nights a week, sometimes mixing music with the politics that blow through the neighborhood like froth from the top of a Redhook pint.</p><p>For instance, this Thursday evening (July 29) at Nectar in Fremont, <a href="http://www.streetsforallseattle.org/?ref=avalancheghost.one">Streets for All Seattle</a> will hold a kickoff fundraiser party. The well-marshaled coalition of more than 60 member organizations is campaigning to get $30 million in city funds dedicated to making Seattle's transportation systems friendlier to bicyclists, transit riders, and pedestrians. The event is timed to be a chance to "rock out before the city's budget season begins."</p><p>Mayor Mike McGinn will attend, and you can join him in watching some members of the city council compete in a ruthless game of "Streets for All Jeopardy."
