We've set a new high thanks to your response this spring and fall. Here's what's ahead.

Thank you for your many gifts to Crosscut’s fall membership campaign. We depend on your support to highlight the diverse and excellent writers that Crosscut publishes; the same voices that keep you informed and bring you insight about local issues, actions and possibilities. Your support doesn't end with becoming a member though. I hope you'll continue to support Crosscut throughout the year by commenting on and sharing our articles with your coworkers, friends and family.

With a strong finish over the weekend, we managed to beat last fall’s campaign, and we have set a new high of more than 600 memberships for the combined spring and fall campaigns. We also receive hundreds of additional memberships throughout the year, and many of you contribute multiple times throughout the year. We couldn't do it without you.

If you have not yet become a member, I hope you'll consider joining today. Our members receive invitations to special events with writers and editors throughout the year, discounted tickets to Crosscut partnership events like Civic Cocktail and opportunities to win prizes. Our members know that they are among the growing community of readers who have a stake in the future of a strong, healthy community. Please become a member now.

One of my favorite parts of our membership campaigns is hearing from you. One reader included this hand-written note: "I feel guilty reading Crosscut and not paying. If I have to pay to read the Seattle Times, I ought to (and do) gleefully send this check."

"Thanks for keeping us Clallam County westerners sane and informed."

"We aren't able to give much right now, but we believe strongly in quality journalism and are happy to support Crosscut."

"Crosscut is so good, so refreshing, so well-written."

I appreciate your encouragement and hope you'll follow our progress this fall and winter:

Thanks again. Keep reading and stay in touch.
