            <p>Biology and biotech is big business in Seattle, so it’s no surprise that life sciences are booming at the University of Washington as well. In fact, there are so many life sciences students at UW that the university is scheduled to begin construction on a new building to house them, <a href="http://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/blog/health-care-inc/2015/08/uw-has-so-many-biology-students-it-has-to-build-a.html?ref=avalancheghost.one">reports</a> the Puget Sound Business Journal. Construction is slated to take two years starting next June and cost $160 million, mainly financed through bonds. In addition, the school will hire 15 new faculty members to accommodate for the students. The existing buildings have inadequate facilities to run laboratory operations.</p>
