Here's what I came up with for fun, wearable art that should appeal to adults of all ages, with most retailing for under $75:
1) Juicy Fruit stretchy wool scarf. This long wool scarf is remarkably soft and has a great, stretchy feel. The saturated autumnal colors will look great all fall and winter. ($54, Made in India)
2) Wearable art for baseball fans.
Silk ties: I found two ties designed by artist Josh Bach that both feature baseball themes. One has mini blue prints from various Major League baseball stadiums, and the other has a subtle print that upon closer inspection, reveals a pattern of baseball fields. ($40 each, Josh Bach, New York)
Leather baseball cuff: For gals, there is a cute and sporty baseball cuff bracelet. It looks and feels just like a baseball, with real leather and red stitching around the edges. Bring a Sharpie to the game, and it can easily receive autographs. ($25, Trophy for Life, Brooklyn, New York)
SAM baseball cap: A baseball cap that is specially designed, with six panels, air holes, adjustable strap, and a subtle print along the edge of the rim that reads "I am SAM." ($16, SAM)
3) Nostalgia-inducing items (if you aren't too young). A 45" record adapter silk tie: This tie is navy with a pattern of yellow 45" record adapters that manages to look sophisticated and tongue-in-cheek. ($37, Josh Bach, New York)
Dapper Dan lace up T-shirt. Okay, so this design probably isn't really inspired by Dapper Dan (or Dressy Bessy), but the white T-shirt has a sketch of two sneakers, and one of them has laces. ($54, Designer Shikisa, Tokyo, Japan)
